ABOUT THE EVENT

The College of Pharmacy, Mother Theresa Post Graduate and Research Institute of Health Sciences (MTPG & RIHS), a Government of Puducherry Institution organized “TEXO PHARMA VIRTUS(TPV) 06’ and 09’  two mega events attended by nearly 1000 delegates from all over India in October 2006 and November 2009 respectively. As a continuation of the series, we the Students of College of Pharmacy-2012, MTPG & RIHS are willing to organize, a two days National Conference on “Recent  Advances In Pharmaceutical Sciences” entitled 
“TEXO PHARMA VIRTUS 12” on 1st and 2nd of November 2012. 
With this conference we are extending our wings to the whole of India and this conference would be attended by over 1500 delegates from around 100 Colleges. This is an Effort to bring the students of pharmacy together and enrich them in global standard with the modern skills and giving them an edge over others. This as well sets the platform for the future professionals in the pharmacy to get together and know each other and exhibit their talents. 

ABOUT MTPG & RIHS:

MTPG&RIHS established by the Government of Puducherry, conducts various paramedical courses of global standards under a single roof has a beautiful campus, catering the pharma needs of the country. The College of Pharmacy, MTPG&RIHS is unique both in its academic and in extra-curricular activities. The statutory affiliating councils viz. The Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) and All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), has approved the U.G and P.G courses in pharmacy offered by this Institute. Further, the College of Pharmacy acts as a nucleus for academic – industry interaction. The College is also gifted with eminent, distinguished and outstanding faculty members who have command over their discipline and in depth knowledge of the current happening of the pharmaceutical world. The saga of College of Pharmacy, MTPG&RIHS, continues and the college has a long way to go with glorious days to witness.

ABOUT THE COLLEGE OF PHARMACY, MTPG & RIHS

College of Pharmacy, MTPG & RIHS is unique both its academic and extra curricular activities. The Pharmacy College is affiliated with the Pondicherry University, Puducherry. The statutory affiliating councils viz. the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) and All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) have approved the degree and P.G courses in pharmacy being offered by this Institute. 

The syllabus recommend by the AICTE for the M.Pharm, B.Pharm degree course is being followed in ditto in our College of Pharmacy.

The college for pharmacy, MTPG & RIHS is gifted with eminent, distinguished and outstanding faculty who have command over their discipline and in depth knowledge of the current happening of the pharmaceutical world. Ours college has 13 modern laboratories. The placement and training cell of this college actively organizes campus interview for the final year student and almost all the student have been placed.

To promote and provide better research‐oriented education to create awareness of the latest technologies prevailing in the pharmaceutical world, guest lectures are organized. The education system in college of pharmacy MTPG & RIHS is not confined with in the four walls of the lecture hall. More often industrial training and visits are planned and implemented to update relevant scientific and current strategies of the industries. Hospital posting are also made to update knowledge in health care of the patients. The saga of college of pharmacy, MTPG & RIHS countinues and the college has a long way to go on with glorious days to witness.

ACHIEVEMENTS OF THE TEXO PHARMA VIRTUS‐2006 & 2009

The Texo Pharma Virtus ‐ 2006 & 2009 paved the way for the participants from all over the country for understanding the quality education ensured in this institute. The delegates had gained wonderful experience and knowledge and had also expressed their gratitude, after the conference for the opportunity given by this institute. The participants also encouraged the organizers to organize such kind of conference often, for updating Professional knowledge, for gaining expertise in pharma skills and for personality development.

SCIENTIFIC SESSION

The scientific committee of TPV’12 has a great honour in inviting you to submit your original and unpublished scientific work with significant findings in the following areas  for (Oral/Poster) presentation in the conference with an aim to create a scientific platform to share the knowledge and new technologies among the pharmacy professionals in the field of drug development process.
•Pharmacy education and professional pharmacy; application of computer and       

   softwares in the field of pharmacy

•Pharmaceutical chemistry; medicinal chemistry

•Pharmacognosy, Indigenous drug, herbal formulation and phytochemistry

•Pharmaceutical analysis and quality assurance

• Pharmaceutical technology; biopharmaceutics and pharmacokinetics and drug

   metabolism; biotechnology and biotherapeutics and nanotechnology

•Pharmacology and toxicology; clinical research and pharmacovigilance; hospital,   

   community and clinical pharmacy

• Pharmaceutical management; drug regulatory affairs and intellectual property rights.

•Pharmaceutical Practices.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR SUBMISSION OF RESEARCH WORK:

• Scientific abstract should not exceed 150 words, summary should consist of

   maximum 300 words, without mentioning the name(s) of the author(s).

• Abstract and summary should be submitted on A4 sheet with 1.5” margins, typed

   in Times New Roman font size 12”and 1.5 line spacing.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR POSTER PRESENTATION:

• The area available for poster will be 1.2m (width)*1m(height). The presenter should 

    bring the required materials for poster display.

• The poster must clearly state the object of work, methodology, result and 

   references.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR ORAL PRESENTATION:

• The time duration for oral presentation - 5 min for presentation and 2 min for

   discussion.

• Each presenting author is entitled to submit only one paper.

• Abstract and summary should be submitted through on line tpvscientific12@gmail com.

• One hard copy of abstract and summary along with soft copy  on CD should be

   submitted to the Chairman  (please contact the  address given  below)

• The abstract must be submitted on or before 20th October 2012. The authors will

   be notified through  e.mail about the status of acceptance of their scientific work

   on 23rd October 2012.

                                  

      The poster presentation/oral presentation will be rewarded
